Bartleby's in Prison
"Bartleby's in prison," he writes. He compares the prison to an egyptian pyramid where people are just entombed. "By some strange magic, through the clefts, grass seed dropped by birds had sprung." We're left this image of grass growing through the cracks in the prison floor. It's a really strange sort of image. I don't know what it is it's supposed to be.
