Tony Blair's Intervention in Sierra Leone
In 2000, Tony Blair led a successful intervention in order to stop the civil war in Sierra Leone. At that point, there had been a number of international conflicts such as Rwanda and Kosovo which had started to shape political views around a moral case for intervention. There was an international debate about maybe a power should be taken for the UN to declare some countries to not be governed decently by their countries. But that never came to anything enough to re-rack no one anymore believed that it was a good idea.
