The Changes to the 2020 Australian Guard Line for the Prevention, Diagnosis and Management of Acute Rheumatic Fever
In the past, once you've got a diagnosis of rheumatic fever there was always this sort of 10-year sentence as such of needing penicillin injections. There is evolving criteria on how to diagnose rheumatic heart disease. The treatment for Korea is mostly anti-convulsants, so things like carbon mesopene or sodium valve pro-8. Overall the guideline really emphasises the importance of culturally safe care that it doesn't matter how good your medical management is and whether you're prescribing the right drugs. If you're not communicating really effectively with your client and their family making them feel welcome they're not going to engage effectively with the care that's being offered.
