Is There a Future for ML?

In the last couple of years, there's been huge progress in natural language processing from deep learning. transformer networks were like a big breakthrough that's happened in the last couple weeks. It seems like understanding why and how neural networks even manage to achieve what they accomplish is super crucial. And it's also ties I imagine to debug those things? Like, when it's wrong, why is it wrong? Like, what do you do about it? Yeah, it's hard to tell. But I think having a diagram probably helps.
