Are Moral Commitments to Racial Equality on Shaky Ground?
People's moral commitments to racial equality are on shaky ground if they depend on exact genetic sameness across human populations. I think that the religion of genetics in human life is a little bit like sex and that it's kind of a forbidden topic that people are uncomfortable talking about. If we don't acknowledge, yes, genes matter for people's lives, then where do they go for information? Like Reddit, you know, like you want people to learn about genetics from the most racist, pernicious, least informed voices on the internet.
