Is the Dark Matter Halo Killing the Galaxy?

Another possibility is that stars themselves are killing the galaxy. The dark matter halo should be pulling in fresh, cold gas from other galaxies. But instead it gets heated up and so you can't use that to make new stars. It's real nimbyism. You know, all these old professors. They've got these nice houses they bought in the sixties, and they don't want anybody building apartments in their back yard. Or like enod like a, the old professor is taken up off his face,. Got to make room for those young bloods, right?
