Multi Family Overlay Zones
The city of atherton, California was on the hook to add 300 and forty eight units of housing. City council proposed an overlay designating nine town house developments. The majority would have had five or six units, thelargest forty units on five acres. Council removed the town house from the plans in july after public outcry. Now they are proposing a new programme asking people to rent out accessory properties and cottages to increase dwelling units. A potentially floating the idea of building housing on school property for teachers.
