The economic impact of alcohol abuse was 14 point six billion dollars. It's estimated that this evolved seven to ten thousand years ago, somewhere around present day shanghai. This solution maintains in our genetic and cultural repertoire, but it doesn't spread the way you would expect it tospread. We have both genetic and social costs involved with human behavior through an evolutionary lens. And these real physiological costs haven't been taken advantage of by evolution.
