Our form of form of knowledge production is ideographic, not nomo-thetic. So, science was... Sorry, history was saying that it didn't need to... That it was kind of opposing itself to science. And historians embraced this and said, yeah, this is why history is not a science. It's a different field of knowledge that aims at a different kind of knowledge or truth.
