The Importance of Self-Protection

We're not even aware that we're approaching Christ with our self-protection. Right. There's a great example of that evil in Wall, who was perhaps the most distinguished Catholic writer, stylist of the last century. He was accosted one day by a woman who said, Mr. Wall, I know you're a Catholic, but you betray such a want of charity. And he said, Madam, I would scarcely be human if it weren't for the grace of God.
