The Importance of Honesty
"I wouldn't pay any attention to my checkbook, which I hate to tell you was one of my big faults," she says. "Then I would write all my checks and I thought everything was fine." But the bank was so behind that they didn't really credit me till the fifth or sixth paycheck. By then he'd written his rent, mother's check, whatever he had to do to help family. He wound up with these overdrafts, which were then covered in his next paycheck.
