A sex therapist is somebody who is already licensed as mental health professional. A sex therapist specifically goes back to school for additional training and curricula. We take about an a hundred and 50 hours of training just in course work alone, to make sure that we can fill in the gaps of what regular mental health graduate programmes aren't able to offer. Some people focus on treating desire and arousals; others treat compulsive or problematic sexual behavior.
