Diabetes - Is Insulin a Neurotransmitter?

What did you understand that carbohydrates now were doing in their direct result on metabolic health? It's a great question with a really complicated answer. Insulin is needed to let glucose inside a cell, so that the cell can use that glucose as an energy source. In the brain, it's actually more complex than that. What you eat plays a profound role in insulin - both secreted from your pancreas but also probably from insulin signaling and glucose signaling that comes from the brain.
