Most lottery winners say that a couple years after winning the lottery, they're no more happy than they were before. But why? Well, i think it comes down to a couple of things. Our perceptions are never one way or another and neither truth nor falsehood render them untrue. It's like pyro would have been a big fan of the saying, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. How can we know we aren't just falsely attributing good to something that we think seems like it should be good?
