Villnove chooses to open his June with a single line taken from the June prequel novels by Brian Herbert. The author then builds his exploration with a series of scenes that remind the audience of the theme of dreams. Dreams are the key to Paul the tradies' journey from adolescent boy to become the Quizatz Haderach. People who believe in their dreams are at best foolish, at worst, extremely dangerous.
