CNN's John Defterios talks to David Frum about the state of democracy. He says there are some positive signs, such as germany and french elections. There is also a sense that democracy just isn't up to this period, he adds. But it doesn't seem like national governments have believers to do everything they should - which is bad news for us all.

Michael Ignatieff, a renowned author and academic, is the former Leader of Canada’s Liberal Party. While Ignatieff was serving as Rector of Central European University, the university was pushed out of Budapest by the Hungarian government.
