How to Cope With a Paranoid Partner
It's particularly difficult to diagnose and treat a delusional disorder of the personality type. The sufferer is gripped by a delusion, a fixed false belief that involves a singular situation or a person. Once they get into that delusional state, they act off that delusional state as if it is real. A good tactic is to empathize with the feeling but to neither agree or disagree with the facts.
