The Rave and the Column
The rave was so weird on the page, I'm amazed anybody let me go forward with it. The film always built to this dance sequence that splits reality and fantasy - which is what I'd done in my last short film. And I just never knew how the film ended about that, which made taking the rave apart so difficult. If it didn't work, we didn't really have a film. We certainly didn't have a good film.
