Indigenous Peoples, How Do They Approach That?

i find it interesting to hear how other indigenous peoples around the world also identify different indigenous peoples. This is, i feel like, learning so much, even as an indigenous person who's already experienced some of this myself. In my tribe, both my tribes are cross borders, and i find that in the old daysand our elders would introduce themselves by not just their nations, but by their a their tiospaes or their clans. And that's happening less and less so because those introductions are less understood by the general population till it's gone to the point where people aren't understanding which clan they're coming from any more.
