The judge Fenton Atkinson declared the newspaper's actions as gross interference with the court of justice. Ian admitted to assaulting Edward with a hatchet, but claimed that someone else killed him. As for Myra's testimony, she tried to make it look like she was an unwilling accomplice; police used her own words against her.
