The Most Beautiful Idea in Game Theory?

I'm a big fan of the field. I think Nash's work just establishing that there's a competitive equilibrium under very, very general circumstances put the field on a firm conceptual footing. If you don't have equal liberty, it's kind of hard to ever reason about what might happen since, you know, there's just no stability. The single most important technical contribution that's been made is the real realization between close connections between machine learning and game theory.
