The Dirty Hands Problem

Do you think morality never comes in conflict with this other force? Well that's a good question I've spent quite a lot of time teasing out this dirty hands problem and I began and remain somewhat skeptical about it. So one is that even if there are situations in which the dirty hands story makes some kind of sense, it opens up a sort of can of worms for politicians who are under pressure to start saying oh yes I'm a different sort of chap  and I face these big decisions as Walter sometimes calls them. The way they go in favour of the governmental decision or the state decision is disturbing to me.
