There are lots of different theories about the biological origins of depression. Most of these speculations are in the context of new e drugs that are being marketed for depression. I think thinking about depression as a biological condition is the wrong way to think about it. Our, you know, natural understanding of depression and of other emotions is as a reaction to our life circumstances.
