In the last two episodes, we followed the corporate free speech movement from Boulotti in 1978 to Citizens United in 2010. We've also followed the fossil fuel industry's role in that movement: pioneering new forms of corporate speech and supporting ever broader legal protections for that speech. The Supreme Court has only grown more conservative and more supportive of corporations but it has still stayed away from the issue at the heart of a 2003 Nike versus Kasky case.
