Can the Fed Issue a CBDC?

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, the Republican from Minnesota, introduced legislation to prevent the Fed from issuing CBDC. The first blush of this looks good, but it raises the questions. What is this doing? And then it goes on and required the Fed CBDC projects to be transparent. So it's like, well, you're not really banning it. American spending set the fire, John. I thought we made that clear earlier in the show. Right.
