What's Next for the Fed?
The Fed has tended to hike until, quote-unquote, the whole federal funds rate has been positive. The gap between CPI and PCE has widened quite a lot. It used to be around 45-50 basis points; now it's over 100 basis points. I think that the market will react to any significant uptick in the dots this month.
