Major Tom Schumann is an active duty Marine currently serving in Afghanistan. He and his interpreter Zenoula Zachi serve together in Helman province with three five Marines during an extremely violent deployment. They had each other's back on the ground there and they continued to support each other even as Afghanistan fell apart. In a book called always faithful, Major Schumann tells how he learned lessons from the battlefield and from life.
