The DPA and the Data Protection Authority

The bill is not going to be limited to only big tech companies. It would also affect auto dealerships, marketing agents and anyone who collects data for the purposes of exploiting it. The nature of data in itself is very hard to regulate - every time you go online, you're creating more data. India has fairly low regulatory capacity compared to OECD countries which have a data protection law like this.
