Olympic Training - What Did You Do Afterward?

Michael Phelps' longtime coach Bob Bowman would use things like this in kind of a way that you were describing. The important part with that conversation as you started to allude to is what did you then do afterwards? Yeah, you could probably have dealt with that in the meantime and you know, maybe your heart rate response was different or you can negatively react to whatever it was. Those training activities are not necessarily to prepare for that specific action. They're designed to prepare the athlete for a whole host of things that we may not be able to predict that could happen at a very critical point in Olympic final or something like that.
