The Draugr and the Draper

The zombie can be used to you know communicate all kinds of different political perspective because it's very versatile, which is probably also partly why it's so and it's such an enduring trope. In Resident Evil he seems to be suggesting that the ultimate solution is that they learn to live with the zombies. The Draugr is not too far removed from this idea that if you do not live a virtuous life in accordance to kind of the virtues of the gods etc., thenyou can become this monstrous rotten thing. And I think that the vampire very much holds some of the most important aspects of the Draugr.
