The FAD Dynamic: Military Spending in the United States
Military spending in the United States is. their federal jobs program in a way, not just that,. but it's their regional development program. So if you often hear of these kind of military bases or even manufacturers being in poorer states, it's almost like a development strategy. The US is much more capitalistic, you know, red and tooth and claw, libertarian call it what you want, then Europe. And so the only way that they really were able to justify the regional federal expenditures on regions that they needed for the development of those states was through military spending.
