The Dangers of Greeting

He says, if anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting. Greeting then would be almost an embrace of acceptance of you're welcome into my home because we're on the same page. And that's what John is warning against. Like, don't give any impression whatsoever that there's any commonality between what this person is teaching and what the church is teaching as they're not the same.
