The Importance of Abundance in Economics
Human production grew fivefold in those 40 years and yet the amount of reserves that we have of everything has gone up significantly. So to get some perspective on this, I ran some numbers to try and explain just how huge our earth is and how tiny all the resources that we've dug out are compared to that. If you look at it in terms of its volume, if the volume of the planet was one Olympic swimming pool, all of theresources that we have dug are the size of half a cup roughly.
