The Origins of the Coronation
The earliest known order of service for a coronation is recorded in 574. It contains instructions for an anthem to be sung at the ceremony. You might well recognise it from the Champions League if not from a coronation. So, how long do you think Zadok the priest has been recorded as part of the ceremony?
