Time preference is always positive, unless there's the prospect of more later. If man were not constrained by time, if there were no scarcity of time, that he would effectively always save and never consume. As we lower the time preference, as we said, we're it is actually encouraging us to live life beyond our own individual ego rit. There seems to be a feedback between the two. And i don't know if there's a coincidence that the words saving and saved name are both sort of leading us toward this eternal timelessness.
