An important schism occurred within the sher sect of the moslems following a dispute over the succession to the sixth iman, jafer al sad. The majority of to day shears believe that his son, musa al kadhin, was the correct successor. And these believers are popularly called 12 shears, because they believe that the ultimate twelfth imam was the mati. Originally, it would be this branch of sheer moslems called the ismaili that would be the dominant sher islam branch. It would be thanks to the ismaeli dynasty called the fatimis, who rose to power during the tenth century.
