The Interest in Dietary Patterns

There's been a lot of shift in dietary guidelines and clinical practice guidelines recently where we tend to not focus so much on specific carbohydrate, fat or protein requirements. And the reason for this is because usually with different types of fats, you might have some reduced risk. If you combine overall dietary pattern with healthy foods, healthy carbohydrates, healthy fat sources, you're more likely to see a lower risk of cardiovascular disease.
