I think the concept of the weird is much more forceful and very sort of delirous and wittari kind of way than the Freudian on Heimlich. Here, the dialectical relationship between the weird and the regular is a sort of weird that challenges the very categories in which you try to comprehend it. You can't simply rehabilitate it into the familiar because the very presence of this weird thing in this familiar landscape shows that the familiar landscape was never really familiar or properly encapsulating of reality as we saw it.
