Is the AGI Trying to Escape the Box?
With the AGI have control over its own power I suppose if it was a robot, it would be able to always go plug itself in when it's battery got low etc. But you know because we have, well, we won't talk about free will but we have, I'll just say we have control over our own power right. And these are what lead to our autonomy and our, you know, drives our motivations and base level inherent drives. An AGI which would presumably require electricity or some source of power wouldn't have those base inherent motivations unless you hard coded them into what you're calling the steering system I suppose right.
