The Importance of the Third Section of the Tripartate Canon
We know more or less that there is a version of the Torah that is considered authoritative scriptural divine. We are almost certain that by the first century, there also was a more or less closed canon known as the prophet. The issue really, the issue that's sort of open and controversial has to do with what's going on in that third section, the Ketuvim which likely would have been open.
