The battle of agos poteme was the beginning of freedom for the greeks. Lysander personally led his fellow citizens to the slaughter, beginning with philocles. He wants boards of ten men in every city to exercise absolute authority. Even he had to admit the word aristocracy wasn't really appropriate here.
