Ulubi Thomas' Tartan for Intersectional Family

Ulubi Thomas has created a bespoke tartan for his installation, intersectional family. He was born in Nigeria but brought up in Glasgow so it draws together different threads of his heritage. The history of tartan is complicated, isn't it? It can be both rebellious and traditional. There are all these myths tied around it. And then when it's banned, it makes it even more popular because it's seen as something rebellious.
