Paleontologists used a type of c tea scan to stmate the insides of a 230 million year old coprolite that's fossilized feces from, in this case, the triacic dinosaur relative silosaurus. They were amazed to see it containd an incredibly well preserved beetle, complete with intact legs and antennae. The insect is a previously undiscovered species representing an entirely new family of beetles. Researchers who found it think that prehistoric poo could be hiding a treasure trove of other ancient insects.
