The Effect of Video Laryngoscope Use on First Pass Success
The use of a video learning scope rather than a direct learning scope appeared to decrease the risk of failure in the first attempt by about 25%. What about moderately experienced operators, those with 100 to 250 tracheal innovations? In this group, the point estimate for the difference between video and direct laryngoscopy was about 6%. And then what about the late career expert operator? So I think it's not clear how the results of our trial inform that population.
