The Persian Wars - The Big Battle at Plataea
The big climax of the persian wars is a battle called plataea. Sparta marches home to the south and becomes borderline isolationists. They're content to just terrorize their slaves and get swolle egem all day. This allows athens to step in as the dominant political force in the greek world. Literature, art and philosophy spring up and flourish setting the foundation for many hall marks of modern western culture.
