The Ethics of Chat GPT

As we think about the possibility of sentient AI, we immediately find ourselves facing really deep ethical questions. Would you be able to turn it off when you're done with it at night, or would that be murder? Or would it somehow be like putting a child up for adoption or giving your pet away things that we don't take lightly? Eventually, we're going to have entire legal precedents built around the question of AI rights and responsibilities.
