The parsley-manian explanation for all of those superstitious beliefs is just like some sort of tendency to see patterns where there are none. 85% of the universe is dark matter which we don't understand and it's just like a word or a concept that doesn't right. We have no more evidence for other than its effect or or what we presume is its effect so I'm relying on our epistemic situation only to point out our basic nature of reality.
Journalist, podcaster, and rapper Jesse Singal joins us to talk about his new book The Quick Fix, positive psychology (scam?), cancel culture in the media and academia (overblown?), Substack incentives, and lots more. Plus David and Tamler argue about the epistemology of ghosts.
Special Guest: Jesse Singal.
