The Relationship Between the Law and the Gospel

Christianity is not an ethical religion in the sense that we save ourselves by certain principles. Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again on Calvary, so his work was sufficient to save you and me. Once we trust in Christ the law can be a delight; if we're trying to earn our salvation by keeping the law, the law is a cruel taskmaster.
