After two trials, a hung jury and a not guilty verdict many still believe that John Peel was the killer. The prosecution had only been able to muster up a tiny bit more evidence to the trial this time. Since then John has lived a life of privacy and he's tried to put the mystery behind him. He even ended up suing the state of Alaska for wrongful prosecution which he won.
