How to Lead a Discussion on TV

I have much more respect for people on TV who do this leading a show or you know or coming up with the right questions all the time. I struggle like I don't know how to do that kind of thing either. In my case, I kind of know what I want to say and I'm kind of curious sometimes to ask people questions. Not always and I'm very quiet unless I have something I want to ask or say. But where I am in the city usually is pretty safe but I got out of the subway in Greenwich Village and there is a man with blood streaming down his face like running up to people and saying like boo and trying to scare them.
